THE STUDENT GOVERNMENTThe Student Government is made up of all students of the Silesian Academy of Medical Sciences in Katowice and represented by the Government Council consisting of students chosen in the elections. Head of the Student Government represents all students and manages the Government's operations. The Student Government of the Silesian Academy of Medical Sciences is a group of people who will readily listen and help everybody. The aim of the Student Government is integration of the whole student community, as well as effective development promotion of young scientific and organizational talents at the Academy.
The Student Government takes great care to ensure that each student feels at home at the Academy, where his or her problems are addressed and where he or she receives friendly help during the studies.
Each student should be familiar and comply with the Academy’s "Student Honor Code"
The Student Government organizes many events such as:
socializing events, integrating the student community of the Academy,
educational events,
cultural events.
In addition, it:
facilitates conducting student projects,
aims at supplementing study programs with lectures and elective classes,
develops inter-university cooperation,
initiates events supporting scientific and charity activities.

On June 6 at the Arkada student club, a music event known in Poland as Juwenalia of the Silesian Academy of Medical Sciences took place, organized by the Academy's Student Government.
The Student Government provided free tickets for all our students and employees.
The event featured: Incluz, Stelarius - two bands fronted by our talented students of dietetics- and a rock-polo star Sławomir.
